Refund Policy
Thanks for buying from Tom Solo Travels. This page explains what happens if something isn’t right, or if you change your mind. In short: if a guide doesn’t work or isn’t what I described, I’ll fix it or refund you.
Instant digital downloads
My products are digital files you can download straight after checkout.
Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital downloads, that right ends once your download is made available, as long as you’ve agreed to get it straight away. At checkout I ask you to tick a box confirming you want immediate access and understand you lose the right to cancel.
That means I can’t offer refunds just because you’ve changed your mind once you’ve bought a guide. You can read everything that’s included on each product page before you buy.
If something isn’t right
If a file won’t download or open, is faulty, or isn’t as described, email me and I’ll put it right. I’ll send a working file or fix the problem. If I can’t, I’ll give you a full refund.
Please get in touch as soon as you notice a problem, and tell me which device and app you’re using. Most issues are solved by opening the file in a different app – for example Chrome or Safari for the web app, and Adobe Acrobat Reader for the PDFs.
Bought the wrong guide or bought it twice?
If you bought the same guide twice by mistake, or picked the wrong one, email me within 14 days. I’ll refund the duplicate or swap you to the guide you meant to buy.
Want to upgrade? If you bought a single guide and later want the Complete Bundle, email me and I’ll send you a discount so you only pay the difference.
Premium Bundle – itinerary review
The Premium Bundle includes the Complete Bundle downloads plus a personal itinerary review from me.
- The downloads follow the same rules as above.
- The review is a service. You can cancel it within 14 days of buying, as long as you haven’t sent me your plan yet, and I’ll refund the difference between the Premium Bundle and the Complete Bundle price you paid.
- Once you’ve sent your plan and I’ve delivered your review, the service is complete and can’t be refunded. If you’re not happy with your review, reply and I’ll do my best to put it right.
Price changes and offers
Prices sometimes change – for example when a launch offer ends. I can’t refund the difference if a guide’s price drops after you buy, or apply a discount code after your order is complete.
Updates
Travel information changes, and I update the guides to keep up. Free updates for the current edition are included with your purchase. Small details changing after you buy – like a ticket price going up – isn’t a fault.
How to ask for a refund or fix
Email hello@tomsolotravels.com with:
- the email address you used to buy
- your order number (it’s in your receipt)
- what’s wrong, or what you’d like to swap
I’ll reply within [2] working days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Payhip, my payment provider, within 14 days. Your bank may take a few extra days to show it.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you’re buying from outside the UK, any rights you have under your local consumer law still apply.
